GMB protects and represents members across the whole economy.
GMB is a campaigning trade union focused on protecting members in their workplaces and growing membership to strengthen the Union's power. It is a general union, meaning anyone can join, with almost 630,000 members working in every part of the economy.
GMB has members doing every type of job imaginable - men and women, young and old, full and part time - supported by Workplace Organisers and full-time Organisers, plus experts in legal, health and safety, pensions and HR matters.
GMB has existed for over 12 decades, formed from a number of unions that have merged over the last 120 years to become Britain's General Union.
